Meet the E-board



Sheker Myradova, President

Sheker Myradova is a second year MBA student concentrating in Finance. Before her undergraduate studies in Business Administration and Economics at American University in Bulgaria, Sheker spent 3 years working for the International Research & Exchanges Board and the American Councils for International Education in her home country – Turkmenistan. During her undergraduate studies, Sheker interned as a financial analyst at Fuchs Petrolub AG, the world’s largest industrial oil manufacturer. After her studies, she joined the construction company Renaissance Heavy Industries as a member of the top management team for the construction of the world’s first and largest gas-to-gasoline plant in Turkmenistan. In the long run, she aims to succeed in the consulting industry.
Sheker joined Whitman Women in Business to support and advance the success of young women around the campus in business by organizing and administrating trainings/workshops, and providing networking opportunities.


Nivetha Thamizharasan, VP of Event Management

Nivetha Thamizharasan is a second year MBA student at the Whitman school of management at Syracuse university, concentrating in marketing. After graduating in 2013 from Anna university, India with a bachelors degree in engineering she worked as a marketing development associate in Igarashi motors ltd and TVS motors Pvt ltd.

Born and brought up in Chennai, India,she takes her south Indian roots very seriously. Her curiosity and eagerness to know everything and try everything has made her a connoisseur of new Cuisines and new places to explore. As a hardcore fashionista and a budding designer, she works towards owning her own fashion line one day. She religiously follows all forms of social media and is free spirited, adventurous and forever bitten by the wanderlust bug. She believes that curling up with a good book or smothering a fluffy dog is all the meditation one needs.

Having actively worked with an NGO for 7 years she feels very strongly about women empowerment, that combined with her passion for business has lead her to WWiB.She believes in being the change and in giving back to the society; and she sees Whitman women in business as a great opportunity to accomplish both. As the VP of event management she aims to help build WWiB not just in scale and reach but in terms of the positive impact it has on other hopeful women trying to step into the corporate world and hopes to help them achieve success in both their professional as well as their personal lives.


Chin Ying Chiang, VP of Corporate & Alumni Relations

Chin Ying Chiang (Candice) is a second year MBA student concentrating in Supply Chain. During school years and after completing her under graduation degree in Applied Economics from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan, she interned at Jarng Kwang Co.,Ltd. which is an auto parts manufacturing company for several summers.
She joined Whitman Women in Business to help others and believes that through WWib’s club events, we can all thrive through networking with outstanding women leaders. With this network, she hopes all women can be inspired to achieve their own goals not only in their careers, but also in their lives.
In her free time, she enjoys exercising, spending time with friends and family, and helping others.

Anila John - Headshot

Anila John, VP Marketing & Communications

Anila is a second year MBA student planning to concentrate in Marketing. After completing her under graduation degree in Economics and Commerce from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai she worked at J.P Morgan as a Business Researcher in their Investment Banking division. She decided to come to Syracuse University for her MBA to develop her leadership and team management skills as well as to build on her knowledge in the field Marketing.

In her free time, Anila enjoys playing her guitar, singing, recording and updating her Soundcloud profile. She is a food and coffee enthusiast and enjoys discovering new places to eat at. She is also an avid runner, having participated in multiple marathons and can often be seen at the gym on the treadmill (listening to Taylor Swift)

She joined Whitman Women in Business to support other women and encourage them to be confident about themselves.  She is a firm believer in women supporting women and hopes that through the club she and other members can network and meet women who can inspire them to do more.


Trishala Rasya, Executive Budget & Finance Officer

Trishala is a second year MBA student at the Whitman School of Management with a concentration in Finance. Prior to the MBA program, she worked at Goldman Sachs in asset management and Hedge Fund Administration. Upon graduation, she hopes to make a career in corporate finance and consulting.

Working at Goldman for more than 3 years, has made her aware of how the financial world sees women in a professional setting. She was a part of the Women’s India Network, a club at Goldman Sachs that hosted events to celebrate women exploring careers in financial services. She believes in women empowerment and wants to be a part of the WWiB board to share her experiences and hope to make a difference.
